Direct Fired Heaters

Direct fired heaters are the most effective and commonly used heaters in construction applications. Our selection of direct fired systems provides solutions for any size project with outputs ranging from 400,000 Btu/hr to 3,400,000 Btu/hr. Our direct fired heaters are also highly effective in situations where humidity control is necessary and air quality is a concern. They can be used indoors or outdoors depending on your project needs, and every system is delivered promptly and set up and started by one of our experienced technicians.

Direct Fired HeaterOur direct fired heaters are available with a fully enclosed burner to prevent flames from exiting the heater discharge. Their robust designs pressurize your building, increasing air circulation and virtually eliminating moisture problems. Our larger direct fired heaters for sizable applications are capable of rapidly heating large volumes of air. Our powerful blowers distribute heat throughout the work space and are capable of providing multiple air changes per hour, enhancing a safe work environment for the employees. We also carry a line of direct fired heaters for heating and drying smaller areas or spot heating equipment. These specialty product heaters are frequently utilized in construction, emergency, fire proofing, finish work, and ground support applications.

We sometimes get inquiries about salamander heaters when customers are considering different types of heaters. Tioga does not carry salamander heaters because they are unsafe and cause an increase in humidity, and, therefore, they should not be used in commercial applications of any kind. Excess humidity can inhibit drying during construction or renovations and cause damage to existing materials and structures with prolonged use. Salamander heaters also pose a risk to the health of those exposed to them through elevated levels of carbon monoxide, potential gas leaks, and tripping and electrocution hazards.
